Question on blockbuster in store movie exchanges (M)

I just switched back to Blockbuster online from Netflix b/c we weren't using the streaming video feature often and I didn't like that Netflix had the 28 day delay on many new releases. I'm vowing to use my 5 in store movie exchanges every month. Last week, I exchanged 2 movies in store. Today if I look on my account, it only shows that I've used 1 with 4 remaining. Does it count each movie exchanged or each visit -- meaning I could exchange up to 3 movies during a single visit and only be charged with 1 exchange? Does that make sense? I just want to make sure I understand how it works.

If they're still doing it the way that they were when I was a manager there, it will count each movie exchanged. In order for the exchange to work and you get the movie for free, we had to open a special screen on the register, scan the barcodes on the mailers of the movies you were returning, and then scan the barcodes on the front of the movies you were taking.

As you can see, that way each is accounted for. So whether you take your 5 all in one visit or in separate, the computer knows.

We had recording problems sometimes, so chances are you'll see that update soon to show 2 exchanges used.

Is it my imagination, or did the exchanges once work such that you'd have to return the store disc within five (?) days, but the online service would send you a replacement online disc for the online disc that you exchanged immediately (rather than waiting for you to return the store disc that you exchanged the online disc for)?
