Just out of curiosity how many points are allowed to be bank?

You can bank your entire years worth of points if you want. This has to be done within the first 8 months of the UY.

It can be as a one time transaction, or over multiple ones (ie: bank 20 points this month, 20 next, etc.).

Once banked, those points would only be good for the following UY. So, if you bank all your 2010 points into your 2011 UY, those points now take on the travel dates of the 2011 UY points an will expire at the end of that UY.

You can bank any or all of your points, so the decision is up to you based on how you use your points. As long as you are within your banking window, the choice is yours.

To clarify the other posts, you may bank the entire allotment of current use year points. Points banked from the previous year may not be banked a second time, though special banking/borrowing rules may apply if you are wanting to save up and use points for a cruise...that would require a call to Member Services.

You may have up to three years worth of points available for use..banked points, current points and borrowed points.
