question on AP promo

Hi - wondering if anyone knows the answer to this: I am looking to buy annual passes using the promo deal. We plan to activate in June 2018. My son will turn 10 in Jan 2019 and we will want to use the same pass again in May 2019.. so my question is what happens when he turns 10? Can he still use the same 3-9 child pass or will I have to update it to an "adult" pass at that time? Any if so, will I lose the promotional discount at that time since the promo will be over? thanks!

Nothing happens. The pass says child but they are the same price. I don’t think it matters.

As PP said, nothing happens--Disney doesn't 'punish' any child for having a birthday within the timeframe of any ticket they have. The AP is good for a year, no need to pay more. The only thing that changes is that he'll be charged adult prices at the buffet restaurants.
