Question on 2fer ticket

Hi all! I need your help. I am a SoCal resident, and am eligible to purchase the 2fer tickets. I have family coming in from out of state, and I was going to get tickets to the park in advance. I know I can purchase the 2fers, but if I give them to my family members, will they have any problem using them? Do I have to be present to go into the park with them? I was planning to join them later in the day (as they will be staying at the DL hotel and have early entry).

Can anyone explain how they work? Will they ask for my family to show IDs? Obviously, I want to help make their trip fun and not have them have a problem with getting in.

we had friends from Nevada join us once and they bought the 2fer tickets at our local Vons and they did not question them when they bought them OR as they entered DL/DCA! I also saw lots of others using them at Disney and noone had to show ID or anything to prove their residency!
