I will be staying at POR the day before my 4 day cruise. I was told that we should leave our luggage outside of our hotel room and someone from the Disney Cruise Bus will come by and pick it up. Has anyone left there luggage out? We are afraid that we would get to the ship and find out that our luggage is still at Disney. We wanted to take our luggage with us to the bus and just wait for them to load the suitcases. We don't mind a long wait.

We've never done the land/sea package but I would be extreemly worried about leaving my luggage outside of my room at a WDW hotel where on the other hand I don't give it a second thought on the ship on the night before debarkation.

We did not book the land/sea package for this trip. Just staying at POR the night before. So not being part of that package is also getting me worried.

We have always done the land and sea package and im pretty sure we always left our luggage out and never had a problem...we stayed in the poly each time and they put all the cruise people mostly together...so you see all luggage outside of each door as you leave. hope this will help you

Thank you. It does help a lot. We really can't wait. This will be my first cruise of any kind.

We stayed at the wl last june as part of our land/sea package left the luggage out no problems at all. A lot of people will be doing the same, plus your at disney no chance of theft and they come and get the luggage pretty early if your really worried your can give it directly to the dcl people as they come to your room. It will probably be waiting for you at your door after you get on the ship. Besides no worries your going to wdw!!

We left our luggage outside our hotel room and my MIL and FIL did the same, and it all ended up safe and sound in our cabin on the ship! We were at the Poly too. I wouldn't worry about this; this is a standard feature of the land/sea package and the CMs will take good care of your luggage!

Oops, sorry, just wanted to add that you should make sure that you have things like your bathing suit in your carry-on bag when you board the ship. You want to be able to enjoy the pool even if your luggage isn't in your room until later.

Have a great cruise! You'll love the land/sea package!

We were 7 people in two rooms and left our luggage out with no problem. It was on the ship in our rooms when we arrived. The reason they don't want you to take it with you to the bus yourself is because it probably is not even going to be on the bus with you. I saw a small truck, not bus, where luggage was being loaded and taken away before we even got on the bus.

We are staying at the Poly for our land/sea. If we are driving to the port, since we are driving from Va., can we also leave ours outside for them to pick-up?

I have done land/sea twice, both times staying at POR. Once a few years back and again last December.

Both times we were told explicitly NOT to leave the luggage outside the door. This was repeated numerous times. We were told to have the luggage all ready, just inside the door. They will take it from inside the room.

They said not to worry if you’re still in bed. It seemed a little awkward but we went with it. First trip we were still in bed. They knocked at the appropriate time, one of us threw on a robe and got the door. They were in and out in under a minute. We went back to bed.

Second trip we got up early and left the room to go have breakfast. They came and took the luggage while we’re away.

I would just recommend clearly separating your carry on from the luggage you want them to take. We left the checked luggage right by the door and the carry on luggage back in the bathroom area, so that there would be no confusion.
