Question Ipod Touch Target Coupon

We bought the Ipod touch at Target using the 10% off coupon but it did not take 10% off the $295. The Employee at the service desk today stated the the coupon is taken off the return value. I am curious for those who have used this coupon, how much did the coupon take off??

Mine took off the whole amt, not the return value amt.

I bought 2 using the coupon and it took 29.50 off each purchase.I don't even understand what they meant by the return amount.i also used my red card and got another 5% off.

The return value is what I would get back if I took the Ipod back because it had the free gift card. I emailed corporate to see what they said.

That's not how it worked for me. I bought the 8gb on Black Friday for my DD and got 10% off with the coupon, then got another 10% off because my DS works there, and still got the $40 gc.

Thank you all for your input. I will be heading back to the store to try and deal with it there as well. It was actually my mom's purchase but due to her medical she doesn't get out much. She bought it yesterday and it wasn't until I was trying to do the warranty with squaretrade that I noticed she did not get the correct discounts. Even her employee discount (retired from Target) did not take 10% off.
