If there are two of you, you are allowed to take 6 bottles each. Can they be carried in together?

Since it hasn't happened yet, we don't really know. I know on other lines, yes, one person can carry the alcohol for the room, but DCL hasn't said one way or the other.

We'll just have to wait for first hand experience to post back and let us know. After Sep 30.

It is 6 bottles each but as PrincessShmoo has said no yet knows how DCL will handle bringing it on. It would be much easier (for us) to have all the wine/beer in one wheeled carry on.

We are curious about this as well. We are 4 adults split between 2 staterooms. We will all be arriving together and it would be easier to have all the wine bottles in one carry on. If that isn't allowed, we plan on moving it all to one rolling suitcase as soon as we get through security.

Great question....didn't even think about the per-person or per-cabin rule. Also I'm curious...and admit I haven't looked very hard into this...but can we bring hard cider on board? It's not beer, it's not wine...but it's not on par with some of the hard liquor and I think the rules mostly spell out beer and wine don't they? I don't drink beer but wouldn't mind having a few hard ciders on hand.

I did read a post where someone asked DCL, and the answer was "no, only beer or wine". DCL apparently does have some cider onboard.

If it's 12 oz bottles it'll likely look just like beer on a scanner. I'd take it. If it's confiscated, they'll give it back at the end of the cruise.

Hmmm...that new policy takes effect very soon. I'm sure there will be some talk about it here once it does hit.
