I am a new DVC member and have decided to get married at Disney next October. I was trying to book a stay at the Grand Floridian so we could have a luxury vacation. I looked into the Royal Palm location in the Grand Floridian and the DVC reservationist said they only can book rooms with 2 queens and a daybed. I asked if they have any kings available, but they only have those in the Contemporary. They said I couldn't change or upgrade rooms by calling the Grand Floridian. Has anyone booked a stay at the GF and could you help me if you know any information???? Thanks!!! The boards have been very helpful to me so far in my quest for information. :earsboy:

Welcome to the DIS, and Welcome Home!!!

Not all room classes at non-DVC resorts can be booked with points. We actually have a much better selection now, than we did a few years ago. It used to be that conceirge level could not be booked with points. For room-types not offered through DVC points, you'll probably need to book for cash through Disney's Central reservations.
