Question from a Newbie

I am a new DVC member and have decided to get married at Disney next October. I was trying to book a stay at the Grand Floridian so we could have a luxury vacation. I looked into the Royal Palm location in the Grand Floridian and the DVC reservationist said they only can book rooms with 2 queens and a daybed. I asked if they have any kings available, but they only have those in the Contemporary. They said I couldn't change or upgrade rooms by calling the Grand Floridian. Has anyone booked a stay at the GF and could you help me if you know any information???? Thanks!!! The boards have been very helpful to me so far in my quest for information.

Not all room classes at non-DVC resorts can be booked with points. We actually have a much better selection now, than we did a few years ago. It used to be that conceirge level could not be booked with points. For room-types not offered through DVC points, you'll probably need to book for cash through Disney's Central reservations.
