Question from a mom...

i never bought one of my friends but being 13 this year and going with my cousin i can walk around w/ y cousin. We have cell phones walkie talkies and we have to call. We also are very careful and just make sure your daughter knows the rules.

Mine don't let me go around the parks by myself but they do let me go around the hotel.

my family and i are always going to disneyland and last year i went for my birthday with my mom, my sister and my best friend. my best friend and i ended up doing our own thing and if we needed to meet with my mom and sister or for some reason needed them we had our cell phones. if the cell phones thing doesnt work i would suggest walkoe talkies :goodvibes

In the morning till after lunch we usaly stay with her but after that we are on are own till the prade or till it's time to go. But if we go back early to the hotal me and my sister usualy head to a park and meet up with them that night for a prade or a show or fire works. but you shood always keep in touch with them or at least have a meeting place after a time period.
But let tham have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do that.....Since i turn 15, my parents let me go around by myself or with my sister. plus now with cell phones, my parents know i would call them if there was trouble. When i was little though, I use to ride the fort wilderness buses by myself and ride the monorail, too. If they do want to go by themself and you allow it i would give her a cellphone. that do comes in handy.

I've always just gone around w/ my parents. I'm 13. But that is just my personal preference, because my brothers are not "old" enough in my parents opinion to go galavanting around wdw w/o them.

- Take it from a 13 year old DON'T LET THEM
- Disney is supposed to be a place of togetherness
- Last time I was there this 12 year old boy got lost and we were all searching for him!!!
- Don't let her even if she is with a friend

I would wait a few more years to let her go out on her own, even if it's with a friend.

My parents have always set aside a night when they go and do their own dinner, and let my brother and I wander the park by ourselves, but it is usually the same park. Now that my brother is in college, I am the only kid, and my parents let me go off by myself, stay longer at the park and take the bus back, or go to the park by myself. I just always have to have my cell phone on! So I think it would be fine if you let your daughter and friend do that, just as long as you keep in touch.
