I'm looking at the Beach vs. the Caymans. They look similar, but one is sleeker and more slender, according to the website. The sizes also vary. One goes my whole numbers, the other by s, m, l, etc. Can someone give me some differences in the styles, and some sizing tips for both size systems? Thanks a bunch. ::MickeyMo

beach are wider - so if you have a narrower foot, then you might prefer the Caymans. Personally I quite like them big and loose.. thats part of the comfort, but then I have wide feet.

The M which are size 8 -9 is just right on the sizing -
Caymans.. im not so sure.. as I dont have them. My advice is to try a pair on somewhere. I bought my first pair in person, and then bought the rest on the net when I was sure of the size.

I agree with the previous poster...the Cayman do run a bit more narrow, and more true to size. I had a pair of the Nile sandals, which are the same sizing as the Cayman...didn't like them for my ah, Daisy Duck feet...lol I have wide feet across the ball of my foot, but my ankle tends to be more normal width, plus I have no arches to speak of since I was a naughty child and jumped off of everything...orthopedic shoes as a child stinks! The Beach style fit my Daisy Duck feet much better...yes, there is a bit of looseness, but it is not a problem for me. If my feet swell, which they did on my June trip, my Crocs didn't feel restrictive on my feet like a pair of tennis shoes would. As for size...I wear about an 8W or 8 1/2 or some 8 1/2 W...just depends on the shoe, but my Nike are a straight 8 1/2...I went with the Beach Crocs in a M (8-9), but the Niles felt so tight in the 8, that I went with the 9 and still felt like they were too tight after wearing them around for a couple of weeks.

Bottom line advice from me...if you can try on a pair...DO IT! I've tried the same size, same style and the shoes still felt different. Best to try them on before you buy.

LOL! See now I LOVE the Niles and I have very flat and wide feet - My niles are heavenly. Of course they're the only Crocs I own so I have nothing to compare to but I really cannot imagine a shoe feeling even better than my Niles - LOL :)

Exactly why I say you should try them on...any shoe actually. It was funny because my oldest sister kept saying...those are ugly shoes...well, when I offered the Niles to her...she slipped them on and walked around like on cushions and kept saying..."ah...those do feel good..." :rotfl2: She loved them...said she wore them a lot on their pontoon boat.

I have both the caymen and the beach and I really can't tell the difference in either. I love them so much! I asked DH for a new pair for my birthday. :teeth: Just don't sit too close to a fire in them. :scared1:

I have pretty narrow feet, size 8 1/2. I have Beaches in M (8-9), and Aspens in size 9 (the Aspens are single sized, like the Caymans). I like my crocs to be a little loose-fitting, as crocs.com suggests. I found with both pairs, my feet fit perfectly in the bed with the strap forward, but my toes bumped the end with the strap back. I put both pairs in the dryer for a few minutes, then put them on while they were still warm with the strap back. This worked like a charm, stretching the strap to the perfect length, which keeps my toes from bumping the end.

I wear a 7 1/2 to 8 in a normal shoe......... but, I when I went to get some crocs the other day, they had the cayman model, I needed a size 4/5, and they are still roomy. I'd suggest trying them on if at all possible before you buy them!!! Oh, and YES, they are COMFY!!!!

I do not want to highjack this thread but I have a question. I bought the Niles for our trip in August and wore them over the summer for a month or so before our trip they were so comfortable.

Well our first day in Epcot I wore them and got the worst blisters ever. What did I do wrong? :confused3 We are going in a week or so and I want to were them again but I am afraid of blisters.

I also have the sml ones (beach/cayman :confused3 ) anyway, I ordered the Nile also, they look better!! :rotfl2: But the Nile always gives me a blister if I wear them too long, so I save them for the 'evening' fancy wear!! :rotfl2: and save the others for Park wear!!

My 'ankles' turn in or "pronate" I think that is what 'hurts' and causes the blisters in the Niles....

I noticed that when I wear mine with socks, I get the start of a blister on the pads of my feet beneath my toes. :confused3

When it comes to sizing, I usually wear a 9 but got the L (10-11) in the Beach. When I put the strap down on the M I tried on, my toes were bulging out of the front of the shoe - it looked weird. I like them big, according to the CROCS website, your foot should sit directly in the bed of the shoe and not touch any side of the shoe - they are meant to be large. It takes some getting used to, but I love mine. I have a pair I wear all day in the house, a pair to wear out, and DH just bought me a new pair for WDW.
