On July 4th I'm heading to WDW with my gf. Through all I do know, I don't know women's wardrobe. She kind of wanted to wear sundresses looking for lighter options. But she's concerned about them being blown up on rides.

Does anyone have tips for ladies to dress light for the parks for ladies?! Any help appreciated!

I wear shorts and a T shirt or a tank, with Teva Mush flip flops. I always bring a pair of sneakers, though I have yet to actually wear them.

Cotton is her friend.

If she's going to wear a sundress, she'll need something under it- a slip or those shorts. I would suggest the shorts, so that getting in and off the rides isn't an issue.

Jockey slip shorts! They're very thin and stretchy and comfortable. Perfect under a dress or skirt. Won't make you hotter, prevent chaffing, and keep you modest just in case. They make them in nude, black, and all kinds of fun colors and they'll fit anyone, including plus size ladies! I wore mine all day at Epcot on a recent trip and totally forgot I even had them on. Macy's and I think Kohl's sell them. They're about $20 at Macy's. They could easily be rinsed out in the hotel sink and reworn.

I don't wear dresses, but I wear skirts with tanks almost every day. I've never had one fly up - walking around or on rides. They are so much more comfortable and cooler.

like pp said shorts for chaffing and also getting in and out of some rides...I usually wear tennis/golf skorts and a tank top and they are super lightweight and comfortable for the heat

I wear shorts from Nike or Eddie Bauer, with tanks or t shirts. The heat gear ones.
We always go in August so it is hotter than hot and those clothes are perfect

wear bike shorts under.
it prevents an embarrassing moment and it prevents "chub rub" (you don't have to be overweight to have your thighs rub the wrong way)

although i can say there are very few rides that it would even be a problem on anyways.
i think the only ride that i'd legitimately be concerned about is tower of terror.
