Question for those going in august

I think if YOU think you may need a sweatshirt, then bring it. I'm bringing mine. I can't take the cold at all (and I'm only 43 ). We were at Disney 2 years ago in June and it was in the 90's. Between the rain and being wet and then AC, oh my gosh, I had to turn the heat on when we got back to the room to get the chill out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Luckily for me, my husband doesn't mind that I keep the ac on 78. And it's been very hot and humid here in New Jersey.

I would say bring a light weight sweater or sweatshirt that zips (so you can get it off fast if you are hot) you shouldn't need any long pants or sweats. Outside in august is Definitely hot but you can easily freeze your tush off in the indoor attractions, shows and the resteraunts , for some reason I always manage to sit right under the ac vent and can't enjoy my meal , so somehting really light weight will work. Most sporting goods stores sell light weight jackets that fold up really small I think most of them are nylon but they work. Have Fun , I can't wait ,counting down the days !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Definitely are not going to need anything warm in August! We go every August and I've never been cold. Besides...here in NJ the past couple of weeks it seems like Florida so I'm ready!!!!!

Yes it has been very hot in NJ. i was there for three weeks in July and one of the days the heat index was like 111.

I wonder how the weather has been in WDW? In a way I wish I could go to some cooler temps even though August is very hot. Cooler temps for NJ right now would be like high 80's or low 90's. It's been pretty good here the last couple of days.

We usually go in april and i love it. mornings are cool until about 9ish and the nights are 60's which is great. Yeah, up here in Mass. its been much better as well. It almost feels cool. My kids thought it was to cold to swim today b/c they are so used to the heat.

My DH goes in October by himself during a convention and says the weather is very comfortable then as well.

Being from Ma. it gets a little chilly sometimes at night in AUg and a jacket /sweatshirt is needed. Will i need to pack these for my trip to tropical Florida? We leave in 2 weeks!

I am from Rhode Island. And even though it has been somewhat unusually hot here during the day this past week, with temps in the upper 90's, it is also rather cool at night. So I know what you are talking about, disneyobessed!

Well it is a little cool in Ma tonight, but you will not need warm clothes in Fla in August! Maybe something if you get chilly easy in air conditioned restaurants though. You will love WL!! Its so pretty! I will be in the World on the 9th of August and dont plan to bring much more than tanks shorts and b.suits!
