Or anyone else who may know the answer. ;) :goodvibes

Can you fill the mugs in the morning and bring them into the parks?
I figure we can get coffee, clean them out and use them for water later on.
Do they have clips on them?

Thanks! :cool1:

Sure, no problem with that. I don't think they have clips, just handles.

We do that all the time. There are no clips but we bought those fake rock climbing type clips at walmart for a buck or two.

No problem doing that. I have actually seen people carrying their mugs on the drink lanyards also. I think I may just put mine in my backpack this trip. Those ideas about putting the remainder of you glass of soda from a restaurant into the mug is a good one. I never drink enough to finish a second soda, so this would be nice, rather than wasting it!!!

I did that every day! It was great to drink my coffee on the bus in the mornings and it was nice to be able to fill it up with water throughout the day! It saved me a ton of money in the parks. The mugs don't have clips but there was a strap on my backpack that I could unclip and thread through the handle of the mug so it just hung from my backpack all day!!

This is exactly what DH and I do everyday! It's so nice to enjoy my tea on the bus on the way to the parks everyday. Once I get into the parks, we usually give them a quick rinse in the bathroom and then I tie them onto our backpack (they are sturdy enough) and they just hang there for the day.

No need to call out the mug police. Lots of people do that and then when they return to their resort they stop at the food court and fill up again.

Gosh, you guys who were able to drink on the bus lucked out! The one morning we took ours full of coffee, we got centered out by the bus driver who came over the speaker system telling us we were not allowed to drink on the bus!

So carry it, but don't actually drink it on the bus--I sound like my kids! :goodvibes

Unless they changed it since last xmas: Just an FYI for when you buy them---the tall mugs have a lever to close the lid for no spills (sorta). The fatter ones just have a hole in the lid.

Phew. I've been watching the mug debate on this site for 7 years. I really didn't know if this question would incite a riot or not. ;)
We only used the mugs once and never brought them into the parks. I was wondering if I'd get turned away by security.

Now I wonder if my old OKW mug will pass at Pop Century. KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We're buying brand new mugs, I promise.

Thanks for the info! :)

If you do this the Goofy police will swarm out of the tunnels and spackle every orifice of your body shut, as well as the top of your mug. :rotfl2:

Just kidding, we do it all the time. Rule last time we were there was no eating, but covered drinks were OK.

My parents do this every morning. My mom wears her very fashionable :) fanny pack and puts her mug through the strap to the side of her waist and my dad will put it through his belt. I always tell them they look like pack mules because anything they can bring with them and can be tied to them they will bring it. Some bus drivers do say that drinking is not permitted but as long as you don't drink them on the bus they say that's fine (although if you get hot coffee in the morning that's probably a good idea with the crazy slamming on brakes of the buses :teeth:
