Question for the pros

If I were to buy DVC can you stay at ANY WDW resort, including like GF, POFQ, etc.? Or do you have to stay at JUST the DVC resorts, i.e. SSR, BWV, WLV, etc?

You can stay anywhere but the DVC resorts are a better point value. We also like the larger rooms and the kitchen.

You can't stay at any of the value resorts on points, or the BWI, the BC or the WL. But you can stay at the others and pay for the stay on points.

If you want to add the Dining Plan, you can only do so if you stay at one of the WDW DVC resorts - you can't add the DP to a point stay at any of the other WDW resorts.

As already mentioned, it is a poor economic choice to use DVC points to stay at the non-DVC WDW resorts. You'd be much better off just paying cash - especially since you appear to qualify for the Florida resident discounts. If you compare the point charts for the non-DVC WDW resorts with the DVC resorts, you'll see what we mean. Also, DVC doesn't return as much value if you use it for long weekends rather than for S-Th stays (in case you are planning to do that).
