Not-so-subtle subliminal message.

Bouncing, to boot.....:teeth:

Oh - I forgot to answer - I'm bad - I throw mine in the wash and then express tremendous pain when the wire gets loose and stabs me.... :o

One just popped out and jabbed me in class last night. I was trying to figure out how to discreetely take care of it without causing more pain!

So, that is why they pop out. I am going to try hand washing.

I throw them in the washer and dryer...I would never wear an underwire bra so I have no toruble with them in the washer or dryer....I don't hand wash anything

I hand wash them and hang them to dry. I've done both, and hand washing definitely makes them last longer. If I have a cheap (around $15) bra, I will throw it in the wash, but my nursing bras are all around $35. That's way too expensive to let them break, and hand washing doesn't take much time.

Machine wash, usually with other "delicates", drip dry Curently don't have a dryer).

It may be the quality of your bras that is the problem, not the washing.

That may be, but I know it has nothing to do with cost. I've had underwires break in new expensive bras too.

use one of those mesh zip lingerie bags and throw them in the washer. They won't get quite as mangled as they would without the bag, so it might increase the longevity at least a bit.
