Question for the Experts: Pre-buy bottled water?????

I was pretty sure i read it on these Boards that you can buy a case of Evian water for your cabin.

I called Disney today and they didn't know what I was talking about. Anyone know?????? I would hate to schlep a case when I could easily buy a case on board!

I'm sure you can purchase bottled water by the case from DCL to have in your stateroom there and waiting when you board. I'm not sure if it is Evian water. I beleive you order it through the same place that you order the other in room gifts....baskets, flowers, fruit bowls, chocolates...etc. You could also order some from Shirly at "The Perfect Gift"...she could always customize a basket for you with Evian and other goods. Have you recieved your docs yet??? If so there is a booklet that comes along with it with all the things you can order for your stateroom...at least I think thats where is came from....Or maybe it came in a packet ahead of time with the listed excursions...Either way..we recieved a booklet with photos and burlps on what was available along with all the shore excursions.

I think you order from room service and I am pretty sure it is Zephyrhills. I packed four six packs in our suitcases - $2/pack. I think I read that water was about $30 not too sure though.

I just brought a couple of bottles and the refilled them at the soda station every day. I drink a lot of water, so I was refilling a lot, but it was easier than lugging a case with me.

Nope. Not there and I don't see it anywhere else. I don't want to risk not having bottled water in the room, so I will call Debbie tomorrow and see what's up. I'd hate to carry them ourselves, but...

I think it was evian that we got. We called soon after we got to our room and it was delivered before the lifeboat drill. It was 30 dollars for the case.

6 20 oz. bottles of Dasini water is $7.50

The water on board is filtered and very tasty. We are just bringing water bottles and will fill them up on deck 9. Much easier then bringing water on board with us.

I've seen this deal on the Navigators I've read online.

On the Saturday Nov 6th Navigators it says:

Family Value Water Package
Purchase a case of Evian water (24 bottles) for the price of 18 bottles for only $27.

For deliver, dial In-Stateroom Dining.

I have a particular brand of water I like and if Shirley at Perfect Gift can't get it, I'll probably order this special.

i personally thought the water was fine on deck 9, aft but i do remember they sold water on the ship too.

Ooops...sorry about mentioning it may be in the gift book...We didn't order it..the water on the ship was just fine...but I do know you can get it deleived to your room..and I've heard of people having it there when they arrive at their stateroom (so I figured you could pre-order it before you boarded). I do remember in the navagators the "family value pack" with the info of how to get it. And on port days they have available insulated coolers with bottled water available for purchase.

Yes...you can order a case of water from room service. It's around 30 from what I remember. We were just on the 11/27 cruise and it was EVIAN. It's kinda pricy, but if you drink alot of water like we do, then it's the way to go. We drank all of it in a week. The year before when we got the case....we didn't drink it all and just brought the rest home.

That's what I wanted to hear! We would like to buy the case of Evian. We drink that at home. It would be great not to bring it on board!

I might bring some with you anyway if you are picky about the brand and/or the price. Sometimes the availability of things like this changes from cruise to cruise. Its possible you will board to find only Dasani bottled water available, or that they won't deliver a case to the room and you'll need to buy it bottle by bottle.

She said Evian is definitely available from room service. We're going to bring a six-pack just to be on the safe side!

Just an FYI - the bottled water you buy on board and is delivered to your room is subject to the 15% "gratuity" that is added to room service items (that have a cost). The "Family value" offer says $27, but you will really pay $31. What really bugged me on this (I guess I should have realized it, it just didn't occur to me that buying a case of water was the same as getting a "drink" sent to the room) was that I handed the guy who delivered it $2 as a tip before I realized that I was already paying a tip - so my water cost $33.

Next time I will bring my own 6-pack of water on board and refill at the drink station.

We just called room service, and requested bottled water. It was there very quickly, it was Evian.
