Question for the DLR Correspondents

I'd email but we're leaving 4/2 for DLR. banana The DIS team has recommended "The Official Ticket Center" for the best WDW ticket prices. Is there somewhere similar in CA that's best to buy DLR tickets?

We are DVC members and Disney VISA holders (WDW AP, too, but no help there...)

Thought this might be useful info for many, so I started me a thread...

Jason - how many days are you going? That may dictate. Right now there is a 2Fer at the grocery stores - Vons and Pavillions in particular - 2 days for $69. Otherwise, some folks recommend Getaway Today for discounts on character meals and such. Otherwise there aren't many things out there, since DL caters to a more local market.

You realize you're just missing Parfitt - Dave is there on 4/1. Let me know how long you're staying and I'll try to meet up with you over the weekend.

Great question Jason. I was wondering the same thing - because I need to get a ticket for April 1. Nancy, sounds like there aren't too many places to get tickets out there. Especially since I'm just looking for a one day ticket.

No -there really isn't. Best bet is going to the gate or hotel. Some of the good neighbor hotels may have a discounted hopper pass.... Ask upon check-in, too. I can check for current details on that 2Fer for you, such as when you have to use the 2nd day by. I am not sure if it's a hopper, but if it is, then it's cheaper than the pnsite hopper.

I have alway gotten my tickets at the gate. Lucky for me My uncle was an Imagineer for about 6 years so we would get in for free.

We'll be arriving Thursday, leaving Monday but lots of intermittently scheduled wedding/family stuff peppered through the weekend. I'm not sure day-to-day where we'll be depending on how things happen. We'll probably only be "guaranteed" time in the park(s) a portion of Thursday and Saturday, maybe Sunday evening, so probably looking for 3 day hopper for 2 adults. If only the WDW AP's worked...

Ah well, I've been saving my Disney Dollars.... And no, they're virtual dollars, not sequential bills....

Try AAA - that was something I hadn't thought of before. They offer discounts at DL. Some tours and such have AAA discounts, too.

Maybe we can come see you on Sunday night(ish). Just found out i'm going to a black tie event at the Beverly Wilshire on Saturday night.

With AAA you may need to buy ahead of time - no discount at gate, can't remember from last trip to DL.

Comments on the DL Board today discovered that you can actually buy just the 5 for 3 tickets online.

That might work for you if you find free time and want to go into the parks at all on the other 2 days....

There are also a 4 day hopper for the price of kids and a 3 day for the price of kids.
