Question For Previous Alamo Customers

I have decided to use Alamo for my MCO minivan pickup.
Someone made a smart suggestion to do the vehicle check-in while other family members collect the luggage.
My question is:

Is the Alamo check in desk far from the arrival carousels and if/when I complete the paperwork,where is the actual car pick up from the check in desk (should I wait for the family to meet me with the luggage or go get the van and bring it round to the arrivals??)

Alamo and the other agencies are down one floor from luggage pickup. The pickup is in the garage across (roughly) from the desk. There are many signs.
IMHO, I think it would be easier for your family to meet you at (or around) the Alamo desk. Arrival parking has to be a speedy process, security is very tight and they make you move right along. This way, you can all stroll over to the garage and select your vehicle and be on your way in a less hurried atmosphere.
