Same question as for SSR, but this time I want to know, if you are an OKW owner, what are your USUAL booking practices?
I know what you mean! I think for those of us who own OKW, the hotel feel of the other resorts make it feel like we are "guests". That's not so true of SSR though.IsAreWasWereAm said:Last January was the first time we ventured off to another DVC resort (VWL) other than our beloved OKW. I'm still not keen about the name OKW and will still tend to call it DVC ... since that's what it was originally called. There's just something special about going home to the home you own. Somehow, we felt like we were guests at VWL, if you know what I mean. I'm sure we'll eventually get around to staying at other DVC resorts, but home is where our heart is!![]()
LOL! Me TOO!SueOKW said:A year ago DH and I came down without the kids for a family wedding (no kids invited - which we enjoyed quite a bit!) anyway.. we could have stayed anywhere on site - i was ready to pay cash - whatever!![]()
After literally weeks of debating the pros and cons - we decided on a 1BR at OKW. I remember thinking - will I ever see any other DVC resort? Will I ever stay at Poly or GF?
Didn't matter once we drove through the gate, I knew we chose wisely. I have come to identify total relaxation with OKW!!!![]()
I agree Diane. We stayed at BWV in '03. From our room to Epcot felt like 15-20 min. Then you still have to walk all the way through to the front of the park. We were there in late July into early August. It was so hot/humid for a hike like that.....then it rained often and we got drenched to the bone walking back. I just think we do enough walking once we're inside the parks.and we don't think walking to parks over taking a bus is any advantage. Besides, to get to the front entrance, you would walk quite a ways early morning.
Yep, I totally agree! It's really nice to be able to board an air conditioned bus or hop in your car and ride to the parks if ya ask me.
