We are new SSR members (just closed) and are excited for our first trip there 3/25 to 3/30 (me, DH and DD 16). We'll be doing a studio

We will also be going back from 10/22 to 10/29. DD 16 loves Epcot. Do you think there is any chance of us being able to book BCV or BWV at 7 months so that she can easily get to Epcot? We'll be doing a 1 bedroom on this trip. I know it is difficult due to the Food and Wine Festival. If we cannot we will be perfectly happy with SSR but I thought I'd get some opinions here.

Any and all opinions appreciated!

I think you may have a better chance at getting a 1 bdrm (preferred view) at BWV than at BCV. Mainly because BWV has more rooms. But I would definetly call at the 7 month opening. If you'd rather stay at BCV, and it isn't available, you can always try your luck with the waitlist.

Thank you.I had not thought of that. I think we will try that. DD would really like such easy access to Epcot, though neither she nor we mind the buses. We're hoping they run as well at SSR as they did at POR where we stayed before DVC.

There will always be some availability at the smaller DVC resorts (VWL, BCV & BWV) at the 7 month mark. The competition for that limited availability is increasing as the number of DVC members grow.

If you are willing to call day by day for the reservation as soon as your 7 month window opens, you should be able to get the resort you prefer, even during F & W. Begin calling a minute or two before 9 AM Eastern each day. Don't be afraid to use the waitlist if one or more of the days isn't available when you call. (I don't think you will need to use the waitlist if you call right at 9 am Eastern each day).

Congratulations on your purchase and welcome home!

I'm going for those exact same days! I'm already excited about it. (If I can, when the seven-month window opens, I'm going to book two nights at VB for before I arrive at WDW. If I can't get that reservation, I'll just go right to WDW.)

Although I can see the allure of being at BCV or BWV during F&W, I booked at VWL, my home resort, and I'll be keeping my reservation there. This will be my first time staying at VWL (I stayed in a regular WL room a number of years ago), and I'm looking forward to it. I'll put up with the extra bus rides to and from EPCOT.
