We are Chicago Bears fans and will be staying in Disney the last week in October. That Sunday's game is on Fox here at home. Will we get the game at the resort? I searched the channel listings at allears and saw two seperate FOX stations, but I'm not sure if they are local. If we can get the game in the room-we are going to plan a pizza party and relaxing afternoon and then hit the parks after the game :)

Yay more Bears fans! We will be getting in on a Sunday I didn't think of looking, but we will probably still be in the car unless it's a late game. Need to look at the schedule.

The Fox station in the resorts will be local, so unless the Bears are playing the Jaguars, I doubt you'll see the game in your room. Plan to head to ESPN at the Boardwalk to watch the game and get there plenty early, they don't take ADRs and there will be a long line of people on NFL Sundays.

Its a noon game here so 1 pm eastern time and they are playing the Carolina Panthers :( Is there two seperate FOX channels as stated on Allears?

You probably will not see it. I would advise you get an app for your phone to give you updates. Unless you can find a way to stream it to a laptop and then watch that in your room.

We got lucky last October because the Bears played the Bucaneers, over in London, so it was on the local Fox station. With them playing the Panthers, I'm sorry to say, I think you may be out of luck.

There's always the ESPN Zone at the Boardwalk.:thumbsup2

Highly recommend ESPN Zone on game day! We have been twice for the opening day of College Football and the atmosphere is alot of fun. It's a nice chance to meet and share the game with other fans! I bet Sunday night NFL would be just as fun :)

Since the Bears are playing the Panthers I doubt it would be on a Florida Fox station at 1:00. Check the NFL schedule that week, if Tampa Bay is playing at 1:00 chances are that is the local game.
If you don't go to the ESPN Club (which can have a wait just to get into the bar area on Sat. & Sun. during football season) there are some Buffalo Wild Wing & other place nearby that should have the NFL Ticket that should be showing all the games.

I would venture a guess that chances of seeing Chicago are slim.

You will be optioned with Jags, Bucks, and Dolphins. Maybe, just maybe, Atlanta.

I would head to ESPN very, very early. Enjoy! :goodvibes

I am in the same boat the Sunday before with my beloved Colts. You might luck out because Tampa plays on Thursday so there are no FL teams playing on Fox that day. The nationwide FOx game could be either Chi and Car or Atlanta and Philly. I would guess about a 30% chance your game is the main fox game. Might depend on the year the Panthers are having up to that point.

THIS! :thumbsup2

Get there way earlier than you think you need to. It fills up quickly, and is seriously loud in there.

you have to go to the espn club! like stated get there early...you will have a ball..best part.....you dont have to drive! :happytv:

Thanks for all the support and advice! My phone is already loaded with all the NFL apps I can get, so that part is good to go! We were considering MNSSHP that evening, so getting the game in the room would work much, much better than ESPN club for us that afternoon. Now that I know there is a slim chance of getting the game-I'll start working on what I can manage to get on my laptop that afternoon :)

We went to ESPN Club to watch the Bills game last September and it worked out perfectly. They open at 11am and we got there around 11:30, and got one of the last high top tables in the bar area which just happened to be by the TV they showed the Bills game on. They label each TV with what game will be showing so definitely line up before they open to ensure you are by the right TV. They do fun pre-game activities and it is family oriented. It filled up quick and got VERY crowded as the 1pm games ended and people for the 4pm games began to filter in. We were there from 11:30-4pm-ish and we ate an appetizer and meal, and split a dessert and had a few beers throughout and never felt rushed by our server. We plan to do this again if our next trip falls during football season!
