How much shorter are the park hours in the off-season? We have always gone to WDW in August and know that at the end of August the hours at MK shorten to a closing time of 5/6pm. Is this the same schedule in October? Thanks for any help:)

You can count on MK and AK to close early except on weekends, I think at 6 PM. MGM closed at 8 PM and Epcot at 9 PM in September. We worked around it by doing MK in the morning and early afternoon 2 days while going to MGM around 4 PM. You can do most of AK in one day if you arrive early and stay until closing. Lines are usually short. We used the shows to rest up after lunch. We didn't catch all of the shows, there is always next year with DVC! We were traveling with a 4 yr & 2 yr. which means a slower pace. With a 5 day pass you should be able to do everything you want if you are not married to 1 park a day.

We were at WDW the last week of Sept. through the first week of Oct. The magic kingdom was open until 7PM and on Sat. night til 9PM. Epcot was still 9PM. AK was 6PM and MGM was 8PM. We left before Columbus Day weekend so I don't know about the hours for that. The crowd were very light and we were more than able to do all we wanted in the parks with even a two hour pool break in the afternoon.:)
