Question for Disney restaurant servers

I will be making all the table reservations for my group of 8, we will be on the dining plan (2 rooms of 4). How should I go about requesting for both room tips to be added to my bill so that I can pay for them? I know that when the orders are taken they ask if you are on the dining plan so they will be deducting the proper amount of credits from each room but I want to pay for all the tips. Do I request the server to add both tips to my bill and not charge them the automatic 18%? Do I tell the server at the beginning when they ask if we are on the dining plan?

You can ask the server to give you the bill(s) so you can pay the tip when you are asked at the beginning assuming you are all seated at the same table at which point the mandatory tipping goes into effect. Should you have 2 different tables you might have two different servers and thus will need to have the bill discussion more than once unless your server can tell the other.

As an aside, were I tipping adverse, I’d be fine doing the auto 18% since it’s less than the 20% I normally do (easier to figure out for me).
