Just wondering if anyone can give me some information on Disney's hiring process. I have an interview scheduled next week and the CM said it would take anywhere from 2-4 hours....paperwork, video, meeting with a recruiter. I am currently a manager of a retail store, but I am just looking for a part-time sales/merchandising position to make enough money for groceries each week :earboy2: Is this the type of interview you would wear a nice pair of dress pants to?? Anyway....any information you could provide would be great!! Thanks

I know that years ago when I had applied at Disney they were very strict on how people looked. So I would defineately wear some nice dress pants. At that time there were restrictions on jewelry, make up, nails and especially hair on the guys. I don't think it has changed all that much since looking at all of the cms they all look neat and tidy. Good luck with the job, I kinda wish I would have taken the job offered to me way back then................

Be prepared for 3 interview (yes dress to impress) A computer test, A video, an assessment. In general you will be there closer to 4 hours until you hear you'll be hired. THEN you'll be taken into another room where they'll discuss the Hush Hush details of your pay. And depending on your segment 3-6 weeks of intensive training.

Good luck

Palmtreegirl, Thanks for the wishes!!

Chyam & Ursulasmyhero, Thanks so much for the info!! Looks like it is going to be a long day!!

at least you'll have cookies and snacks. If I remember correctly.

Get a good night's sleep before hand, be ready and if you have any tat's make sure you cover them, no visible tats are allowed.

Good luck!! :)
I too am going to be having my interview this week! I am so excited!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
I know that when I talked to the recruter the other day she told me they still have the strict policy about appearances. No big earings, natural makeup, no tattoos or body piercings, natural makeup and natural nail polish. Hair should be neat. Also if you have long nails cut em they can only be a 1/4 of an inch long. Also don't wear extra jewlery.

I will try and post on sunday after I get back as to how it went and what all you go through. ;)
:wizard: pixie dust you get the job!

Thanks everyone!! :flower:

Good luck to you too, Holly!!! :shamrock: Looking forward to hearing your report!!

My interview is not until this Thursday...I believe Holly's interview was this past Thursday, but she is not coming home until tonight. Hopefully we will hear from her soon!

Well finally back!! :) I would have posted on Sat night but our flight got majorly delayed.
Anywho!! I got the job!! :) It was the wildest thing ever!! I am going to be full time at DRC which is what everyone here calls CRO. I felt like I had won the lottery when they told me I was hired. I went in and filled out an application then interviewed with one of the supervisors, then had a snack and watched someone show us on the big screen how they do the reservations, then went into an office and was told I was hired! Then the next day had to go back for finger printing and signing my life away on forms and then got my schedual for the next 6 weeks of training and recieved all the books on what to wear, how to act etc. Very cool stuff to read if you are a lawyer. ;)
Also one of the coolest things was watching Disney movies while waiting! ;) Gotta love that ;)
Also good luck on Thurs!! :shamrock:

 Congratualtions Holly!!! I think you are going to make an awesome DRC agent!!! Thanks for reporting back to this thread! Did you wear a suit to the interview? Did you notice how others were dressed? I'm only interviewing for a part-time hourly position, so not sure if I need to be so dressed up. Thanks!

So, when are you moving down to Orlando?? Do you have to house hunt now?

Best of luck with the new job and the move down to Orlando!!! :cheer2:
