Jan,
I have a few more minutes, so let me explain a little bit more about your requirements if you decide to become a CMC.
There is a $195 start up kit cost. You get the following: the cutting system (circles, ovals, straight edge and mat & blades), a sapphire album, 1 set of pages, 1 set of protectors, 3 personal trimmers, 3 corner rounders, a carryall case, a Memory mate case, a file mate, the fine & round tip pens in the basic 8 colors, a rainbow pack of paper, the variety & happenings packs of stickers, a Fast Formulas book, a tape runner, a box of photo splits with case, a box of medium photo mounting corners, Sassy short cuts, events and seasons die cuts, plus a gazillion order forms, brochures, videos, catalogs, etc. You get about 4-5 boxes from UPS! It's fun!
Within 30 days of signing, you have to place your first $500/$350 order. Then, that's it. You have done your requirement. To stay active, you order your $500/$350 worth every 3 months as I said in previous post. No one hounds you to do classes or meet certain amounts. There are advantages to meeting their 30-60-90 day goals, but ONLY if you really NEED to get products or have friends who want to buy...don't dig yourself in a hole with a mountain of supplies you don't need just cause you want some freebies they offer. Your discount is 30%. (Or your profit is 30%, if you're going to sell).
Mostly I am just a friends and family kind of consultant...I am not in this to make money. I've made a few $100 since I signed in August, but more importantly, I've made some new friends too! I have a once a month crop in my home where friends, and friends of friends have been coming and we scrap and I give away a few prizes and supply snacks. I usually charge $5, although I did charge $10 at an event where I supplied dinner and cooler prizes. I mostly just want to get enough orders where I don't have to worry about making that minimum every few months, and so far it's worked out fine.
Please PM me or email me if you would like any more info.
