Hello there! I am not sure if this thread is in the right place. If not, feel free to move it!

I am the proud owner of 320 BLT points...YAY! However, we won't be able to use them in 2009 (and possibly 2010) so we will have to rent them.

I was wondering what the going rental rate per BLT point would be??? Our guide said something along the lines of $15-$16 per point, and closer to $20 per point for Holiday Weeks.

Any opinions???

Thanks in advance! :wizard:

I would say to consider getting the ressie first, like a 2BR for MK view over a holiday week and then put a price on it...? The only advantage for BLT is going to be between 7-11 months out so you'll have to rent them early.

As far as going rate is, you know - the market will pay what the market will pay....

Good luck!

I didn't want to start a whole new thread so resurrected an old one. I couldn't find a BLT Owners thread, though I swear I posted in one at one time.

Anyway, we have always stayed in even numbered rooms, sometimes by request and others by happenstance (not requests). We've never stayed in an odd numbered "inside" room. Our next trip is going to be a standard view dedicated 2BR, and I'm wondering - considering the room ONLY (nothing about views, etc.) - do people who have stayed in both the even and odd numbered rooms have a preference?

I'm debating if I wantt o make a room request and the big difference between the room is that even numbered get wider to the outside of the C, have a laundry closet, and potentially have seating at the island where as the inside are actually rectangular, have a utility room, and potentially do not have seating at the island (as the room doesn't get wider toward the windows).

Toughts? Opinions?
Since we're standard view and looking over the inside gardens sounds more appealing than the parking lot - I'm tempted to request an odd numbered room, but I am really curious about the in-room opinions of those who have done both.

I think this is the thread you're looking for: http://disboards.com/threads/blt-ro...nks-last-update-of-post-1-10-21-2015.2257082/

There are only four odd-numbered dedicated two-bedrooms, and only two even-numbered dedicated two-bedrooms that do not overlook the parking lot. Of course, there are only nine even-numbered with a parking lot / Magic Kingdom view. So, out of 15 total rooms, I imagine requests are difficult to accommodate.

That thread I found and I used it to look at pictures of rooms. I'm just really curious if anyone has an opinion of the larger opening 2BR on the outside of the crescent vs. the rectangular 2BR on the inside of the crescent. The outside gives the sense of a larger living area in the 1BR as it widens to the windows. Wondering if it's really noticeable.

The even numbered rooms on the outside of the "C" portion of BLT's building has an island in the kitchen. The odd number rooms have a walk-in laundry room. The living room is wider at the windows for the even number villas but not that much wider than the inside odd numbered rooms. IMO both living rooms at BLT are wider than the living rooms for most DVC villas with the exception of those at HHI. Do you have something in mind that you need to know the width of the living rooms at BLT?

Nope, just curious of people's personal opinion who have experienced both. We've just always had the exterior rooms by chance. The only thing the wider living room seems good for is the door to the patio that the chair sits in front of.

Our only real care is we're not on the 1st floor, my wife doesn't like that.

We've stayed at a standard-view dedicated 2-BR inside the curve, and a standard-view 1-BR outside the curve. So not quite a comparison of two standard-view dedicated 2-BRs, but close. We had stayed in the 2-BR inside the curve on our first visit to BLT and were very happy with it. Our next visit we were on the outside of the curve, we all did a double-take when we went in, saying, "wow, this feels so much bigger than last time!" (meaning the living spaces; clearly this was a smaller unit overall since it was a 1-BR not a 2-BR) Now possibly our perception was not 100%, as it had been a year between visits, but really we did prefer that villa on the outside the curve. The dedicated 2BR on the inside of the curve was on the 2nd floor and looked over the courtyard/shuffleboard area but felt quite private with the foliage, though with all the greenery and being on the inside of the curve we didn't get as much natural sunlight. We do prefer the outside curve villas and will request that every time. We were at the "top" of the C and from the balcony could look to the right to see the lake and EWP, or look to the left and see Magic Kingdom, monorail, fireworks (and tennis courts and parking lot!). Love that villa & we've been lucky enough to get it twice now!! :lovestruc
