In August we are staying in a 2 bedroom villa at BCV. It is our first time as DVC owners. Should we request a room with a certain view (we have never stayed there before and we don't know anything about BCV). I'd appreciate any input you have.

thanks

Well, I can't say that any of the views are that special-we've had a 2br overlooking the quiet pool and that was nice-the other side of the building faces a woodsy area-also nice. None of the villas have a view of the lake. The units are beautiful and so is the resort. You can sit by the pool at Storm a Long Bay and look over the lake and Boardwalk area. We loved it. You're going to have a wonderful trip!

This site is really good. It shows the layout and rooms on each floor. If you scroll down a bit there are some links to room views as well. I had some pictures of our view from our dedicated 2br unit added to that website (see room view for room 433).

It's a really fun resort. Most folks advise to steer clear of the rooms facing the service road. Some of the woods view rooms have a view of the Illuminations fireworks from the balcony as do some of the EPCOT view rooms.

This thread (created by Webmaster Doc) also has some good room information on BCV.

Have a great trip!

This is a great site! Thanks for sharing...

We always get the pool view. It's real pretty at night. Plus if my son or husband goes down to the leisure pool, I can sit on the balcony and watch them if I don't want to head to the pool myself.

MS will tell you that there are no Epcot views...

well then I would ask for a woods view....

Does anyone know of a site like this with info on VWL? I am deciding between there and BCV. Thanks

Click here for a link for one for VWL. These are the only two DVC resorts that I'm aware of that have a room breakdown like this.

Unfortunately, MS keeps telling me there's no woods view. I got one once, loved it, now I can't figure out how to request it again. I even tried as a request "looking at trees", but MS wouldn't take that.

we stayed in Aug in a 2bedroom. We could see the fireworks from our balcony. We had some trees and I guess a service road. I think our room number was 5225 it was something close to that anyway.
We requested specifically to see the fireworks, and non smoking. We had a decent room, not too far from the elevator, but no so close you kept hearing people. It was a bit of a walk to the main pool, but I suspect most the villas are.

I thought I would add...I looked at the link someone provided above at the BCV and our view was very close to the one for room 559
http://www.parkinfo2go.com/dvc-bcv/room559.php
so my room number must be one too many? maybe 552?
Oh well fading brain syndrome, can't recall the number
But i recognize the view!
