Question for AP holders

This is my first time having an AP and I've got 2 questions:

1. If I activate it on Day 1, will the discounts for the select restaurants, shops, etc. be active on Day 1 as well, or does it take awhile?

2. Do we get a discount on Mini Golf at Fantasia? I called and asked a Disney CM, but she said she'd never heard of it. I thought I had read somewhere that we do. And is it for every member of our group, as long as we all play together?

1. The discounts are effective as soon as the pass is activated, you just show the pass to get the discount.
2.This is the discount on mini-golf:
50% off for Passholder and up to three guests playing with you at Disney's Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course or Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course

Yes you get your discounts the first day it is activated. Not sure about golf but if you go to the WDW website you may find your answer there or are Allears, Deb may have it as well. Good luck.
