question for anyone who returned recently

The last time we stayed at the WL they offered us a reduced rate to extend our stay. We had a flight out and couldn't take it.

This trip is booked for Sept. 20-27. We just booked our airfare a few weeks ago and now our return flight is not leaving MCO until Sept. 28th. We've been thinking about staying at an airport hotel the night of the 28th, but I just remembered being offered the reduced rate last time to extend our stay.

Has anyone who just returned been offered this reduced rate to extend your stay?

Does anyone have any advice for which way we should go? Book a room only at the WL the night of the 28th or leave the WL on the evening of the 27th and stay at an airport hotel with shuttle service to the airport?

You should also know that I have a free Marriott stay certificate. So if I booked the airport Marriott our night their would be FREE.

Any opinions?

I returned last Friday from the Poly and I wasn't offered a reduced rate to extend my stay(I was already staying with a code, I'm sure they couldn't reduce it much more), with regards to the airport hotel, its all up to you, do you want so more time to soak in the Disney magic? or do you want a free night? It all depends when your next trip is going to be. If you're coming back next year stay at the marriott, but if you won't return for two years or more stay at the lodge and soak in the magic. Well, that's my two cents.
