Hi!
I just would like to know when you received your tickets in the mail? Their website says approximately 3 weeks before your travel date.

Thanks

i wish i had an answer for you!! but i have the same question. i wish we would get them sooner, 3 weeks seems like cutting it close!! i like to have all that stuff early so we know everything is right. we are going on july 12th so i'll let you know when we get them.

I'm gonna bump this for ya! I'm traveling with Vacation Express in August so I don't have an answer but I would rather use an ETicket to avoid this anxiety and I think that is what the agent said we would be getting. Are you sure you are getting paper tickets?:bounce:

Each time my tickets arrived between 2 and 3 weeks. This is for one trip to Orlando and one trip to Myrtle Beach.

This worries me - I have 12 days to go and havent received anything. I plan to call them today.

Vacation express told me the following:

* All domestic flights reserved online are e-tickets flights.

*Phone reservations will be given the option of e-ticket or paper ticket, but paper tickets (mailed or faxed) will be charged a $15 per ticket extra fee.

*The "terms and conditions" that you are told to print out, initial all pages, sign, and fax back to them are only for international flights.

I will report back after my experience at the airport in a few weeks.

Don't you prefer using the ETickets? Its been my experience that they work beautifully for every other airline I've ever used, and you don't have to worry about losing them or forgetting them, as long as you have ID on you they will find your Eticket on the system. Good luck.

We bought Etickets, too but still received paper information in the mail. No matter, we only had to show our id at checkin.

Oh I definetly prefer e-tickets- I was just worried because posters were reporting receiving something in the mail a few weeks before. I have never used VE so I was concerned about my reservations ( we changed a few things in the beginning and it got a little messy).

DH and I just asked me why anyone would even want paper tickets- I could only think of my grandparents who cant accept the whole computer concept - they would be the type to want something in hand in writing. Thanks!

They aren't even tickets. They are receipts of flight purchase that have the names of all those in your party flying VE. They don't even ask to see any of these papers at checkin. They only want to see your ID.

Thanks everyone for the great info.

I was questioning the ticket procedure because after I signed the papers and faxed them back to VE I never heard from them again. I do have my credit card bill with the charge. And their website states that they will send you tickets in the mail.

Ok now I have one less thing to worry about.

Thanks again.

just wanted to let you know, we are flying on july12th and recieved our paperwork in the mail on june26th.

Just returned- both airports didnt even look at the paperwork. They look up your reservations using your IDs then check all names off of a list of passengers. Very quick and easy. Didnt wait in line at all.

We had five people so- for the flight down we were assigned 3 people in row 18 two people in front in row 17. Then coming home we were in row 11 - 5 seats across. They hand you boarding passes at checkin that had our seats printed on them.
We kind of rearranged ourselves from the way they had us sitting-but it didnt seem to matter.

We booked our flight pretty early but it seemed like they did a good job of keeping families together. Coming home I noticed the fight attendants rearrange a couple people-- but it might have been because they didnt want to be in the emergency exit row. Everything seemed very organzied.

(There is no first class section)

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm just a little concerned over seating because it's just me an DD. I don't want us to be separated.

Thanks again :D
