Hi all,

I've recently made the decision to become self employed and start selling scrapbooking products, through Ebay initially then an online shop. I've joined up with a highly reputable consultant scheme and because of my choice of upline, I've been placed in a specific "team" along with a few dozen other people.

My problem is that I very much disagree with their way of business. There's a lot of very pushy selling and trying to recruit people into the scheme for your own personal benefit - not because you think they'd benefit (although I'm sure many of them would!) I can't change teams so I'm stuck with this lot for good although I don't have to get involved.

Do you think it's ok to use the team website for it's resources (they have lots of useful files on there like stock control spreadsheets etc) and check it regularly for anything that might affect me but not to get involved in all the chat and "recruiting drives for prizes" or am I being a total hypocrite?

hi Sophie :thumbsup2

if the hard sell is too much for you then i think you are very justified in staying away from that part of your team, that said it can be really hard to find and keep clients so you can often find yourself being more pushy than usual :confused3

You say you don't have to get involved so I think it would be fine to use whatever resources are available but not worry about the pushy competitive stuff.

Good luck with your venture - please let me know your eBay details and then I'll add you to my stockists list (I cardmake not scrapbook) but a lot of the materials are the same :)

Once I get it all up and running I'll PM you, right now it's still technically Scott's shop for selling off old cds, I've just got a few stickers and bits of paper on there. I was ordering stock last night, there are cardmaking kits available through the manufacturer but I thought they were overpriced so I stuck with the stuff that I'd consider a better deal.
