Question for annual passholders

Hey there! I have a quick question.

We're considering buying annual passes and I keep hearing about special discounts for passholders. How do you hear about them?

Wondering the same thing...

Right now current AP holders have cards to give out for people to buy new AP. The cards are good for 10% off for up to 6 AP's. The APs have to be purchase by July 31st. (I have a discount card if you need one).

Some Ap perks are Hotel Discounts (when offered)
Free parking and a discount at the World of Disney at DTD.

Hmmm...how could I finagle this? My mom is paying for us to go down on August 1st. What I was hoping to do was apply what she paid for our 5 day hopper to annual passes for our family. I wonder if they'd still let me do that if we hadn't arrived yet. Like could I call on 7/31 and arrange that so I could save the 10%? Anyone have thoughts?

I believe all you would have to do is upgrade the tickets once you get there and present the 10% discount card at that time (I still have 4 left by the way, PM me if you want one). The price you'll pay will end up being 10% off the AP minus however much has already been paid for the 5-day park hoppers. Not a bad deal.

If you're wondering about general discounts if you have an Annual Pass, this is a great link: http://www.mousesavers.com/wdwapdiscounts.html

For the current 10% off deal, it says you have to buy them in person in WDW by July 31st, I have no idea if they'd let you somehow get that deal another way.

I mailed a card to someone yesterday who moved their trip up to the end of July from August 1st so they could take advantage of this deal! :) It is a good one!

Once you become an annual passholder you will have access to the Annual Passholder section of the Disney website and there you can read about different discounts.

The sleeve of your pass also lists discounts.

And finally you will receive the Mickey Monitor which outlines any special discounts.

Don't forget that one of the other big perks of being an AP is the special events offered from time to time just for passholders. In the past, they've offered a tour of the Cinderella Castle Suite, and next month, they're offering some behind the scenes discussions on how "Wishes" is put together, including a special viewing spot just for AP's that night! Very excited about that!

You need to purchase in person at a theme park window on or before July 31st. If you purchase online, at the Disney Store, over the phone, etc., the discount is invalid.

10% can add up to a huge savings for any size family. Each card is good for 6 passes.

I do have 2 left, too--if anyone needs one. I wish we could use it ourselves, since we'll be there in July, but our passes don't expire until Dec. These are not vouchers--instead these passes become active immediately upon the purchase date, expiring one year from the date.

PM me if I can help! And yes, you'd be helping me, too--as the referring AP holder receives a $25 gift card for each pass purchased!:) It's a win-win!
