Question for an appliance repairman regarding clothes dryer?

Hello... any appliance repairmen out there?? My dryer is acting up and I don't know if it is worth repairing. When empty it starts right up, tumbles and heats, but as soon as I put a load of clothes in it, it doesn't tumble. If it is a very light/small load, it will start, but shuts off in under a minute. It is heating. Is this worth fixing? The dryer in question turned 11 years old this past May and is a Whirlpool. Thanks to any and all for advise!.............P

sounds like ya need a new belt and possibly a new tension pulley
