Question for all you cricut owners

I guess dh is planning to buy me a cricut for my b-day next week.
It will only be a create, not an expression but I'll still have a cricut!
Now for my question, can the design studio work with the create and, if so, is it worth the money?

Yes, the DS works with both the small and large cricut. I have been on the fence about it for a long time mostly because I cannot decide if I want to get it or SCAL. If you get the DS Walmart has it for $60-ish where it is $99 everywhere else.

I don't have a lot of time to play with DS but it's really easy to use. There are a lot of files floating around online from people who have more time than I do.

The create is a nice machine. It has a lot of the features of the expression so you can cut items larger than the original bug.

If my bug were to go splat, I would choose the create over the expression. I like the size of the bug and the features of the expression. The create is that.
