I got a quote from my AMA store for my trip to Disneyland in October 2006

I was just wondering if any of you could tell me if this is a good deal or if I should shop around some more

All these prices are not guaranteed until booked and paid in full. I checked all these prices again today for you:

Flight from Calgary to Los Angeles - September 30th/06
Flight from Los Angeles to Calgary - October 8th/06
$429.66 including all taxes and service fees per person

Transfers from LAX airport to Anaheim hotel - $32.00 per person round trip

8 nights at Tropicana Inn, Anaheim (Deluxe hotel room - 2 queens or 1 king)
$901.60 CAD total including all nights and taxes

Southern California City Pass - $192.00 US (no transfers) OR $319.00 CAD (with transfers) per person

RBC Deluxe Package Insurance (if you bought everything above including Southern California Pass with transfers) $92.00 per person

Total Price Per Person: $1323.46 CAD (if you bought Southern California Pass with transfers)

Any info you can give me I would appreciate it thank you!

I've only started doing my planning... but I'm usually weary of packages.

I plopped your dates into Air Canada, and the price per ticket for them including all fees was $527.48 Cdn. So your quote is better.

I did a similar thing for Tropicana and their rate was $109 US/night. Which looks like your quote is cheaper UNLESS you're quoted per person where as the Tropicana quotes per room. I would watch that.

I'm not sure about the rest of the prices, except that to order the citypass on-line is $199US (additional discounts can be found).

The Cdn dollar closed at 90 cents yesterday. A lot of packages have set Cdn prices and US prices that were decided awhile back. It is cheaper now to purchase at the US cost. Keep that in mind.

I personally am a control-trip-planning freak, and always like to get the best rate myself. I end up doing a lot of research and wait around for deals. If you're not like that, by all means go with a package. Just make sure you know the cancellation/change policy if you come across a better deal. (For example, there's usually a hotel deal in the Fall with Disney and good neighbour hotels -- 3rd or 4th day free.)

hi there, i am in bc, and we leave for our trip in 10 days :cool1: I will tell u some of the prices i have paid and then u can compare them, and i have done it all myself, lots and lots of research

our flight is out of vancouver and into lax...we paid 350 per person for a total of 1755 for our family of 5(DH, me(birthday during the trip), DD-turns 15( 2 days before we leave), DS-12 and DD-10

We are staying at the candy cane inn and are paying 1278 american so about 1450 canadian with our great dollar right now

we are taking primetime shuttle with a private van from lax to motel totalling 154 return...cheaper then taking shared or any of the busses and this way it is just our family and our luggage

I got very lucky and had enough air miles for 4 of my 5 day disney hoppers and my mother in law bought me my 5th so i paid absolutely nothing for them(1000 dollars savings for me)

right now i am pricing the best way for us to get to universal studios for a day but am having trouble finding who is best and most reliable

here's my totals(approx and in canadian dollars) -airfare 1755
motel 1500
disney tics-free
transp -400(universal &
airport)
universal tics-300
health insurance-42
here's a biggie food-1500(we do get free
breakfast at CCI
spending-too much(kids
have been saving &
so have we)

We got a great deal on airfare i think, i cant find anything close right now, motel was an alright price, could have gone cheaper but really want candy cane inn

have tons of fun
sharon

Still Booking?

The airfare you're paying is standard rack, so nothing really wrong with it but... I find that coming from Canada if you go to disneyland.com you almost always get the best price.

You can then go to a travel agent and ask them to take it over so you pay them instead of disney, sometimes they even make it cheaper!!
