Question for all those who have gotten THE email

What time are these emails sent?? Always at night or do some of them come during the day? I have been keeping my email up all day and everytime I hear the sound of new mail coming, I think I just about run over the kids to see if it's from Disney World!!

Mine came at 10:29 pacific time last night.
I don't know if it makes a difference but in the past month I have gotten quotes from Dreams Unlimited and Disney's site on trips, and signed up for the Vacation video.
I have been a registered member on Disney.com for about 4 years and have never received an email like this until yesterday.

Hi Always Qiuet-
I wish I would get an email too but it is really a very tiny percentage of people that get them. It doesn't seem like it when you read a thread like "I got an Email" and everybody is replying "me too, me too..." but as much as I would love to see a post card or email I realize that it probably won't happen.
My fingers are crossed for you and me both!

I did not receive the postcard or the email. But I desperately wanted to spend our last night at AKL. So, I called and started my conversation with the CM asking how they determine who gets them and who doesn't. She said she didn't know, but then as she was pulling up my info excited said, "You Get It! It just popped up on your screen and they told me if it shows up you get it." I was ecstatic! AKL Savannah for $168 tax included.

Please call. It only take a couple of minutes and you might just quality for the discount and not realize it!

I went online and requested a vation planner from disneyworld.com today. As soon as I finished the email popped up in my inbox. There have been others who got there EMAIL the same way.

I called and asked if I had a PIN. The CM said Yes you do! And then she checked and said - Well, it's not active yet. You should be getting it any day in the mail. So call back when you get it, or if not call back in a few days and it may be active then.

I got the e-mail this morning!
This is the first time I've ever gotten an e-mail code or postcard.
I was so excited. I'm going in October for a short trip tacked on to the end of a business trip. I just booked All-Star Sports. Thought about trying one of the mods, but for 2 1/2 days I won't really be at the resort that much.
I'm going to do the KTTK tour this time.

I tried to ask the CM when I called back to check to see if I would be getting this and he got real snotty............"I'm sorry, but whoever told you they could check to see if they could use the discount is lying to you. There is no way for us to tell who will get it and who won't. It's all random". He wouldn't even check for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Call back and you'll get a different CM. The one I got was really nice. Just say "Can you pull up my information and see if I have a discount linked to my account?"

I have the discount - the CM did not need me to read her any information she knew my pin ....

But she did offer me Wildnerss Lodge Room / Woods View - at the end of the timeframe for $121 a night plus taxes.

She told me it was regularlly $219 a night for that room.

So if you are looking for Deluxe rooms - the prices are out there ....

OK, they are just being plain mean now!! In the past 24 hours, I have gotten regular mail from the Walt Disney Co. (about DisneyLand's upcoming celebration), Disney Deals in my email (10% discount coupon................NOT the discount I want!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and just now, the Insider!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am not humored!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Just got off the phone with a cm and NADA. there is nothing under our name and they said my last visit to WDW was dec 2003. we were just there the beg of July and march of this year. she said there are no discounts for me and no fla resident rates

Mine showed a 2:00 pm time of yesterday, but I didn't see it in my emails until this morning.

Edit, though when I called the lines were REAL busy. I can't imagine who is making all of those phone calls.

A few months ago my dad got a postcard offering a discount on moderate resorts, so I patiently waited for mine since I was the one who made all the ressies for a family trip in 2001. Middle of July still nothing, so I decided to call and mentioned to CM that my dad got a card and was wondering if I would be getting one. He checked something in the computer and said that I should be receiving something soon, but he did not know what rates were and couldn't offer it to me until I rec'd the card. So I thought I would wait until I rec'd my card before adding on 3 days to my Nov. trip. As of today I still have not rec'd that postcard or email, so I called again tonight. My CM, Mervin (very helpful) checked for me and sure enough there was a discount in the system. So my advice is call a few times and ask the CM, nicely, if by chance there is a special going on for that time frame ie..a postcard or email discount. It doesn't hurt to ask and maybe you'll be suprised with the answer!!

WDW sent out an e-mail (I think most of us probably got them on Monday, 8/2) offering some really great rates on stays during dates running from Sept. through Dec. 19, with some blackout dates.

I saved over $400...I am staying at POP for about $49 (rack is $99), and AKL standard savannah view for $151 (rack is $315).

I received the e-mail and called. The CM said that since we booked through a travel agent, she would have to contact them. We are staying at the GF and hope to get some $$ off this trip. Think I will call back and try another CM......
