Question for all PhotoShop users>> editing

Hope this is an easy question and someone can help me out-
After I make a design and save it- How can I go back to the same design and change just the text or change just an element within the design-

i.e. changing Xname to Yname

i.e. changing Mickey to Goofy

I basically self taught myself, so I might be doing it wrong.

But when you are done with your design, I just don't merge the layers and save the layers as a PSD file (which is the default file). This way you can go back and easily change a name, clipart, background, frames, anything really!

Yup, dont merge your layers and every thing you do in the file do it on a new layer. Save your file as a PSD file and then you can open it up and just edit the one layer you want to edit.

Thanks guys! I just changed one doing just that-
Now, I need to check the other things I did and make sure I saved as both type files- I know I started saving both types after tha last few but not sure about all of them-
