Question for a mod please

Interesting! No wonder I didn't see it; we used cloth dipes so I would never look at that post.

I use cloth too but I buy other stuff from Diapers.com so I knew right away that the huggies for 4.99 was an affiliate code.

I took the referral out a long time ago, I don't see the point in arguing over it. I just wanted to pass along the deal and have now replaced it stating that everyone will have to google a code in order to get the deal.

And I never said I "made money off it" I said that is did offer a credit, which I didn't plan to use, but OP got very upset she couldn't use her own code.

And I understand the Dis policy, but as I stated previously, I wasn't intending its usage as a referral only a coupon code.

I even went further with contacting diapers.com...

And here is my email to them.

"Do you happen to have a promotion code for $10 off $49 diaper order that does not have an affiliated account with it? I am trying to post this deal on a forum, but they do not allow referrals.

Thanks,
Crystal

And their response...

"Hi Crystal,

Thank you for your email. The codes are provided through some magazine affiliates and some are sent to customers via email. Unfortunately, we do not have access to the promotional codes. Please let us know if we can assist you any further."

This has taken a lot of work for me to post something benficial to others and for there to be so much distress over it.

But I enjoy passing along savings and that was my intention.

1st off I'm not mad about my own code I feel you were shady in posting yours with the specific code you picked and you failed to mention in the OP that you get a credit for each use of said code and I find it hard to believe that you just made up that code to " help others save" with no benefit to yourself. You were setting it up to be like a code you found somewhere and were sharing out of the goodness of your heart not that you specifically benefit from that code. Tou know the DIS rules and yet you've posted that same thing over and over again and if the rules are against it then yes I'll flag you to the mods.
2nd yes if the dis is now allowing you you bet I'll benefit with MY code but I wouldn't be shady about it. I'm on the up & up. Seems like you're testy because you got called on it. End of story. I'm done with this topic now.
