We have a one bedroom room for our trip in March, first trip as DVC owners:cool1:. My brother (21) will be coming with us (DH, Me, and DS3). I know there is a king bed in the one bedroom for DH and I, and the pullout sleeper couch and chair in the main living area. DS is to big for a pack and play, but I would like to have him in the bedroom with us. Can I move the chair into the bedroom with us? Thanks so much for anyone who has any experience. We will make sure to put things back in order btw;)

No, the chair is too big, bulky, and heavy. I'm not sure it would fit through the door.

Sometimes you can request a full sized crib, or rent one from www.abbf.com, or use an air mattress on the floor.

Are you flying or driving? If driving, I would highly recommend the air mattress, especially if you can get one that is double thickness. They are comfortable even for larger sized people. I can't tell you how many times it has come in handy having one in the house. We only have a 3 bedroom house and each bed is taken so that leaves the sleeper sofa and the air mattress. My guests have said the double thickness air mattress is more comfy than the sleeper sofa.

And if you're flying, you could always order one and have it delivered to the resort. I've heard of others doing that and it has worked out well.

We are flying and trying to do carry-ons only so I cant bring a mattress but may rent one... I was really hoping that chair would fit..

We bought an air matress on clearance and the shipped it down to the resort for our trip in February. Worked great.:goodvibes

My teenaged son slept on one last week. I tried to move it a few inches and it was hard. This was on the OKW Pergo floor, not carpet.

I took an air mattress for dgd when she was three and she became frightened at being on a strange floor that looked under the bed.... just to keep that in mind. She ended up sleeping with me in my bed - and she kicks!

My son rarely sleeps with us because when he does (if we are at the inlaws) he is ALL OVER the bed. He never sleeps with us at home. I was planning on him being in a pack-in-play but we just tried it and hes maxing it out! :scared1: With the King bed we may have to just give in and let him though, I don't know if he would stay on an air mattress on the floor, as he is at the "scared of the dark" stage. Maybe Uncle Jojo will have a little buddy in the main room and DH and I will have a little break!:rotfl:

renting a toddler bed from abbf? We've rented numerous items from them before that worked out great!:thumbsup2

While the chair "MIGHT" fit through the door, I can almost guarantee it will NOT be able to fit in the opened up position once you got it there. Besides that, it is VERY heavy and in the tight confines of AKV, it would be difficult at best, if not impossible to move it through the master bedroom door.

We have a small air mattress for our son from Target. It's a Lightening McQueen one and it has a sheet and sleeping bag that zip onto the mattress, so it's hard for him to fall off it. He stays zipped in and it's small. It would probably even fit in the closet of the master bedroom. I've heard of others putting the pnp in that closet before if you wanted a little more privacy.

I requested a full size crib from Jambo house on our last visit. It was suppose to be for my 2yr old DD. When it arrived I was actually surprised how SMALL it was. My husband and I laughed and wound up having our DD sleep in the bed with us since she was to big for the pack n play and there were others in the villa in order for her not to be able to sleep on the pull out. We really didn't want her to be in the bed with us, but it had to be done lol.

We opted to use the full size crib for our 1yr old DS instead of the pack n play since our DD couldn't use it and it was a real mattress. He was just fine in it. At the time of travel our DD was 38 inches. I know you're probably thinking how could I think my DD would fit in it if she's 38 inches tall, but I never thought it would have been smaller then a normal crib matterss LOL. If your DS is that tall or taller the full size crib at the hotel will definitely not work.

I think you might need a crane to help you move the sleeper chair. It's VERY heavy. Just to move it an inch takes a lot of effort. I would definitely take others suggestions to see if you can either ship an air mattress or rent a crib from somewhere.

Cool! I will look into this..now...lol... Thanks so much for your post!:cool1:

We did it on our last trip and the chair does fit through the door. But it might be easier to move it over around the balcony.

We also rented a toddler bed from abbf when we stayed at SSR on our first trip.
It was perfect my DD loved it.
You can even request their favorite character bedding.
It was worth every penny. :thumbsup2

You are not supposed to move the sleeper chair. Leave it in the living room.
