Hello all,

I'm not a usual visitor to these parts as sadly I've never been to DLRP, but I've said I'd pop on to try and help a friend and her daughter who are travelling to DLRP on August 31st.

My friend has only booked earlier this week and is wondering if it's recommended that she books for any character meals in the parks? Is this recommended? If it's possible and recommended, what would people suggest?

My friends daughter is 4 years old and loves her Winnie the Pooh characters and the Princesses. She does also watch Mickey Mouse Club House etc, so is familiar with those characters too. Could anyone recommend anywhere for them to head to? Even if it's not to eat, maybe ideas and tips for meeting characters etc.

Any other things for them to do also? They're going to have two full days in the parks.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :goodvibes Thanks!

Hello :goodvibes

If they are staying at an on-site hotel, then there will be meets with characters every morning at breakfast time in the Hotel Lobby.

If she loves the princesses then a meal at Auberge is recommended. It is quite pricey though - check the sticky thread for restaurant reviews - but she'll get some good time to spend with the princess' and princes.

A meal at Cafe Mickey in the Village is recommended. This is a character restaurant and a must for most visitors. I'd suggest booking both of them. Cafe Mickey can get very busy in the evening without a reservation.

You just ring the dining reservations line and give the surname. No need to pre-book set menus/meals.

There is a Playhouse Disney show in the studios at various times in English throughout the day. Characters include Mickey & co, Winnie the Pooh & co, Little Einsteins and Handy Manny. It's a great wee show :thumbsup2

If you check the official website, disneylandparis.co.uk, you'll find a schedule of events for the next week. It's likely to be similar around the end of the month.

I'll see if I can find it for you....

Thank-you very much for taking the time to reply, I'll be sure to pass on the info to my friend.

I'll get the number for reservations to her also, as I'm sure she'll book one of the two you mentioned for her little girl :)
