Hello everyone -
I was offered the role of Vacation Planner at Disneyland for the college program which I am excited about. But I haven't accepted the offer yet because I was truly hoping to be accepted in a hospitality role such as Front Desk or Guest Services. I only have a couple of more days to accept the offer so I was wondering if anyone knows if I can call Disney recruiting to ask if they can change my role or if I have to accept only what was offered?
I also am "in progress" for Disney Vacation Club Associate and would prefer that over the college program but I haven't been contacted yet for an interview. The DVC Associate has the opportunity to earn a salary plus commission. If I turn down the CP, do you think I would have better chances with the DVC Associate position. I don't want to pass up on an opportunity to get my start with Disney by turning down the DCP but I really don't know if I can survive on the salary (I knew the salary range when I applied was between $8-11/hr I believe but hoped it would be on the higher side).
