We are traveling to Wdw for a 10 night total stay. 7 nights being YC, the last three ihg hotel. We are a family of 5 ( 12,15,17), and had originally had 2 Pop rooms with PH, but just yesterday upgraded to YC, for the extra evening magic hours benefit for the same price minus the PH. Hope I don’t regret taking them off..🤔

All of that to ask this..we are currently theme park reserving 2 EP, 3 MK, 3 DHS, 1 AK, and a rest/float day.

What would y’all do?
How many days would you do where?

we haven’t been to WDW in over 7 years, and trying to figure/gage the PH, genie +, park reservation thing is stressful.

Oh, we are going to the house of mouse 5/1-5/11.
Crowds?
Park hours? When can I see those?

Thank you guys so much for reading all of this. I know it’s a lot.🤪

Given the age of your kids, I would say you have a good plan assuming they are into Star Wars. If not, maybe add an Epcot and take away a DHS. May can be so hot and for us, DHS is stifling.

We always have PH, but honestly most days don't use them unless we wanted dinner somewhere or DHS in the evening.

And we LOVE YC!!

Thank you so much!
My kids love Star Wars stuff.
me…not so much, lol! 🙂🙂🙂

Just so excited to go, hoping I book the right days to the right parks. Lol!

We had an eight-day trip in August with light/moderate crowds. We spent two days at each park, no park hoppers, so Genie+.

Really the only place we didn't accomplish as much as we wanted to was Hollywood Studios, partially because of the crowd and partially because we technically had only 1.5 days there since one of the days was our departure day. I think people underestimate Animal Kingdom, but that park contains three of our top-10 rides (Flight of Passage, Expedition Everest and Kali River Rapids) plus there are always animals and shows happening. The Animation Experience is a neat thing as well, and a great opportunity to cool off when it's really hot.

Also, we stayed at BWV and planned on going to extra evening hours, but because our kids are a bit younger (7, 9, 11), so we elected to rope drop almost every day and avoid parks with evening hours. Results will vary depending on crowds, but we were pretty satisfied with our trip. Good luck!

Your plan seems fine. With 9 park days, you don’t really need much of a plan. You’ll get everything in. My suggestion is to really take advantage of your location at YC. Rope drop HS and Epcot as much as possible since you have walking advantage, take a break at that pool as much as you can, and walk back to the park for the evening. Or just do a half day and hang at the resort.

Hours as well as evening deluxe hours will be posted about two months in advance. Book your HS studio days as they are the hardest to book. It’s easier to switch to Epcot or AK if you decide to. For G+, watch the YouTube channel Earscouts. He has the best tutorials.

Thank you! I’ll have to go find them and study up. 🙂📺👀🙂

Yeah, that is the one worry we have of staying late for the magic hours. We really can’t wait either way. 😁
