Dh mentioned staying at WLV next time we go to WDW. I was wondering if you still get to use the Disney buses, Magical Express, and dinning plan?

I know I sound dumb it is just that I don't know much about WLV. I just assumed we would stay at POR again.

VWL, and all of the DVC resorts, ARE Disney resorts, and you get all the same perks that a guest at any Disney resort gets. Transportation, charging to your room, DDP, DME, etc.

Are you booking a cash reservation through CRO, or renting a reservation from a DVC member? If you're going through a member, you'll have limited housekeeping. If you've booked through CRO, you'll get full daily housekeeping, just as you would at any other resort. Other than that, there's no difference at all.

We were booked thru CRO for a one bedroom at VWL last May. We ended up cancelling due to DD4 (age at the time) became sick and then so did DD2 :headache:. So we never were able to experience VWL but we were signed up for both ME and DDP so you are eligible. Who sets it up for you depends on whether you are renting points or going through CRO. If you're renting points from a DVC member theres a DVC forum w/lots of important info on renting, etc.

if you booked through Disney - then like the WDW resort - to get the DDP you must buy your tickets with Disney.

if you are going through a DVC member then you can just add the DDP - you pay for it when you arrive at the front desk to check in.

he/she must also add you to the DME.

Even if you have a studio room you will LOVE LOVE LOVE the extra space and having the fridge for cold drinks if you stay at the villas. If you have a one-bedroom, it is such a HUGE advantage to have a washer and dryer in your room. We have stayed several times at both POR and the villas and we love both, but they are nothing alike. Being able to take the boat to the Magic Kingdom is a big plus for the villas! It is very quiet and relaxing there. Have a great trip, wherever you stay!
