question about when I can book with the new 90 day policy

Hi folks,

I have a unique question. we were originally planning to go next August, which is well beyond both the 180 and 90 day thresholds.

We were just crunching some numbers and realize that we may be able to go around June 19th instead.

Here's the problem. The 180 days out for June 19th fell a few days before they changed the system to 90 days, so...

1. Would my trip fall under the 180 or the 90 day limit?

2. If I am under the 180 day limit, am I basically screwed and will not be able to make any ADR's because all the good ones will be gone?

Any input would help!

Thanks

90 day limit unless you want to book CRT, Chef Mickey's or Victoria & Alberts - you can do those now.

So Disney wouldn't have allowed anyone to book using the 180 day window during the two days or so that the 180 day window was open before they announced the change, right!

I guess what I'm getting at is that had I made plans for these dates earlier, say, November sometime, my 180 day calculator would have said I could bookADR's on 12/21. I think the news of the change came 12/23.

So it is safe to say that had I booked earlier and called on 12/21 to make my 180 day ADR's (which I would have assumed I could do) they would have told me the only ones that I could do were Chef Mickey's and those couple of other places?

I just want to be sure. the last thing I want to do is book it then not be able to get any ADR's!

Most of Dec. there were limiting the ADR's to March 22. So no worries!

Thanks for the help. Alot has to happen, mainly my wife needs to be able to get these days off, but this makes it a definite possibility!

Just be aware that because of the date you are going the following might apply to you if you are wanting to book CRT, CM or V&A.

"There is a temporary exception to the 90 day rule. CRT, Chef Mickey and Victoria & Albert's can apparently be booked up through June 19th 2009. This is a fixed date, and as soon as it's 90 days prior to June 19, they will be on the same 90 day schedule as all other locations."

There is a sticky at the top of the Restaurant Board which has all the updated information. Read page one for all the latest. :)

Iwas wondering to about the new ruling..thanks for the info and I will check out the sticky..God Bless you:)

Im confused....we are going in September, does this mean I can try to book for CRT in March? Or do I wait until June?

No bookings are being taken for CRT, CM and V&A past June 19th. Everything else is 90 days. (or 90 +10 if you are staying onsite). According to the info as soon as it is 90 days prior to June 19th, CRT, CM, and V&A will be 90 days also.

So to answer your question, you will wait until whenever in June is your 90 day date. That is as long as Disney doesn't change their mind again!! ;)

Hope that helps. :)
