Hi just wondering about wheelchair viewing for the parades and fantasmic...I know the fireworks show doesn't have it.

Where are they for the parade of dreams, for electrical parade, and fantasmic...and how is the viewing from there? In late July, how early do I need to show up to these spots?

My concern is it being JUST me and two little kids...if waiting for a long time...how do I take them to the bathroom without losing my spot?? I suppose talking to a family sitting near us would be helpful for that aspect...being friendly might make them willing to save our spots while we go.

Thanks for your help!

When we did the fireworks the other week (local AP holders), I thought I saw a wheelchair viewing area on the right side of the hub circle.

I do know there is an excellent area for fireworks viewing that comes up at the last minute. If you hang out in the Tomorrowland pathway off the hub, there is an area that they don't put ropes in right away (it's right next to the path that they put ropes up for walking to the Matterhorn during the show)- it serves as a pathway into the center of the hub. About 20-30 minutes before the show, they put up a final rope and people start to fill in the area. The view is great and because the area in front of you has to remain clear, it's even better if you are right at the rope - very near the Plaza Inn potty, too. (I have a 3 year old....) Sunday nights are really pretty good - as I imagine week nights are, too. Friday and Saturday - the crowds line up.

One of the parade wheelchair areas is by the castle is just south of the Matterhorn and near the Fantasyland (Alice in Wonderland ride) pottys. They are always manned by cast members who can assist you or will remember you for coming and going. What I would do is take a small blanket to lay down on the ground and use as a placeholder if you have to use the restroom. You could even set some drink cups down on it, to stake your claim a little deeper.

I'm not as sure about Fantasmic, we don't get over there much anymore - it's still a little to intense for the little ones. I do know the bathroom isn't that close. It's in the back of New Orleans Square - near the train station.

Good Luck!
Nancy

Thanks for the great info! I appreciate it.

Know anything about wheelchair viewing for the DCA parades - pixar play parade and electrical parade?

I saw the DCA parades on June 10th & 11th. We sat directly across from the Golden Dreams building and there were open spots next to us.

Fantasmic viewing is on the extreme ends of the viewing area. Personally I don't like the view from this area so we wait for a regular spot and move my daughters wheelchair out when strollers have to be removed from the area. Good luck with the bathroom breaks. My DH wasn't able to get back to our Fantasmic spot 15 minutes before show time when our son had to go to the bathroom. It was so packed people would not let him to our group at the front.

Wow...how frustrating! That's why I was wondering how early you have to show up for the wheelchair viewing, I think they'll enjoy it just as much with a more side view...we will probably hit the second showing (if my kids last that long after a NICE LONG nap in the afternoon).
