Question about WDW Dining Package w/L&S Cruise

I've noticed that it seems that you can't add the dining package to your WDW tickets after purchased through DCL. Has anyone had any success? And how did you do it. We are cruising Mar. 07 so we have time. Thanks for the help.

I booked my cruise seperate from my park package. We stayed in a value resort and had the DDP. It was less $$$, we never stay in moderates or deluxes anyway.

how did you get to a bus to take you to the ship. they told me if we stayed a POP we would have to take a cab to the swan or dolphin, to get on the DIS bus, since it only goes to certain hoels? or if you took the cruise 1st how did you get to the value resort? just wonderng, also.

We stayed at POP prior to our cruise. POP transfered our luggage to Riverside and we transfered ourselves via a Disney Bus (with a stop at DTD.) I originally thought we would have to take a cab, but when I asked about the cab, they told me the other option. We did however have to have our luggage ready at 8:00 AM.

We arranged what hotel we would be using through our AAA TA. We were bussed to the port with all the other people. Some may have had land sea packages, but I overheard conversations that led me to belive some people spent one night at Riverside prior to leaving on the cruise. They also had the Dining Plan for the one night.

I did feel a little weird shopping in DTD with my rolling carry-on, but then, I do a lot of weird things!

thanks redwitch, i am glad to know there are some other options. i didn't even think about going to DTD to take a bus back to one of the other resorts!!
