Question about waitlist

I have an existing reservation for a one bedroom at VGC. I want to waitlist the studio and will put that I want the 1BR cancelled. Will they still borrow vacation points if I don't enough for both of the reservations even though I said I want the existing reservation cancelled? TIA

For any borrowing to take place, you would need to give them permission to borrow when you set up the waitlist. If you do NOT give them permission, there should be no borrowing.

Since a 1 bedroom takes more points than will the waitlisted studio, there shouldn't be any need to borrow - MS will use the points from the cancelled 1 bedroom for your studio. You will even have a few points returned to your account after all is done.
