Question about Vacation Points and Reservation Pints

Hi,

My Wife and I just bought into SSR on Monday and tried to book an 8 day stay in November 5-13, 2007. We were able to book the last 4 days and was placed on a waiting list for the first 4 (everything was booked). My question is could I use Vacation points to book the first 4 nights at , say, Port Orleans? Would there be a penalty or any other restrictions preventing me from doing this? Anyway thanks for any information on this question.

You can book with reservation points, but then if your waitlist comes through, the points you used for the PO reservation will only be able to be used for another DIsney collection reservation, since they will now be reservation points and have been traded out of the DVC system. I would probably book through CRO and then cancel that ressie if the waitlist comes through.
