Question about using pin code offer

We got a postcard with a pin code offer on it. The card came to "James R*****." My husband and son are both named James. I will be in Florida with my sons but not my husband and decided to book a quick trip. (When I decided to do this, I didn't even notice the name on the postcard - thought it came to me.) I called WDW and gave them the code and checked for a room, but none were available. I called the next day to try different dates and mentioned that I had a pin code, and I was told that it was already in the system for me. There were rooms available for my new dates, so I booked it. By the way, I've booked two rooms and the CM told me that they'll be under two reservations - one for my sons and me, and one for my parents who will be traveling with us. Both reservations were booked with the pin code rate.

Before I called the second day (but after my first date came up with no availability), I sent in a request to DU with my pin info, names of who is traveling, etc. I just got a quote this morning and was told by DU that the code is in my husband's name only and that if he's not traveling with us, we can't use it. Now I'm a bit worried, because the CM I booked through never mentioned anything about whose name the code was in, and in giving all the names for the rooms, he knew my husband wasn't going. I was thinking that either way, there will be a "James R****** in our party because that's also my son's name. The code card did not say "Sr." after the name, but the DU rep says it's only for him to use. Am I going to have a problem at check in? I really don't want to be surprised by a higher rate when we get there, and I'm not really sure how they could do that to us since the CM knew all the details, plus there is someone in our group with the exact name that shows on the card.

I can't speak for how Dreams Unlimited handles these things.

BUT... as long as the address on the postcard is YOUR address.. my experience has been the name doesn't matter so much.

Now.. my experience is limited and I'd take the advice of D.U. who deal with this stuff every day over me.. who has dealt with it twice.

Take the postcard with you and you should have no problems, in my opinion. Hopefully someone else from D.U. can chime in on this.

Thanks Canadian Guy, I hope that there's not an issue. Bumping here to see if anyone else can give me any insight on this - if I'll have a problem or not.
