Question about use year and reservations on new purchase

Appreciate it in advance if anyone can help me with this, I think I'm just not conceptualizing this properly. I'm currently eyeballing purchasing DVC Resale (would be my first one). I'm looking at a BLT contract with 188 points, use year of August, with points coming in '21. Correct me if I have any of the following wrong:

1. This means that 188 points become available in August of 21 and need to be used by July 31, 2022, unless they are banked;
2. If I wanted to plan a trip for August of 2021, and I owned at BLT, I understand that my booking window to book this trip would be 11 months earlier, so I could book an August 2021 trip starting July of 2020;

Assuming I have the above correct, Question: If I am not getting points until August of 2021, does that mean I have to physically wait until August of 2021 to log on and make a booking, or does that mean I can log on and make a booking from my computer starting in July of 2020 for the August of 2021 date (assuming I'm not borrowing, etc, because I understand there are borrowing restrictions because of COVID).

You have everything correct. You could make the reservation beginning July of 20.

But at the rate the process is currently going I don't think you will have access to your DVC account to start booking by July.

Actually, you’d book 11 months in advance for August 2021 in September 2020. July 2020 would be 13 months.

We have a Feb UY and currently have 400 points for 2020 and 400 for 2021. I know that the order of how points are used for a reservation is: 1) Holding Points 2) Banked Points 3) Borrowed Point 4) Transferred Points 5) Current Use Year Points. Since we are not planning any trips this use year right now, we banked 200 of the 2020 points into the 2021 UY. We then made the reservation. The reservation used the points from the 2021 UY since the reservation falls within that use year.
